THE DESIGN GROUP ENERGY DIVISION, in concert with our established client, a respected member of the midstream sector of oil and gas, currently has an opening for a talented PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT.

This is a long term contract position, working in downtown Calgary.

SUMMARY

The Procurement Assistant is responsible for proactively ensuring smooth flow of Supply Chain data and the tracking of financial transactions in keeping with the purchase and movement of goods and services. 

·     Provide outstanding support to  the Purchasing team members as it relates to the  Receiving of goods and services within the SAP  ERP environment;

·     Timely goods receipts and service entries;

·     Assist with all accounts payable matters as it relates to the Purchasing Receiver function;

·     Coordinate and prepare SAP Purchasing reports as necessary to update team members with respect to the status of POs and expenditures for goods and services;

·     Assist with the timely close out of purchase orders;

·     Coordinate with the Central Purchasing Department members on matters related to goods and services processes within Pembina.

Qualifications

·     Post secondary and/or PMAC education would be considered an asset.

·     Experience with SAP MM module is a must.

·     Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook (email) and document control.

·     The ideal candidate will have a customer service focus and  assertiveness to ensure business requirements are met

·     Ability to work with minimal supervision

·     Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).

To qualify for this position, you must:
* Be a University degree holder in any field of study.
* Have familiarity with SAP Material Management (MM), and Finance (FI) modules.
* Preferred: Have Oil and Gas experience.

In this position you will be responsible for:
* Supporting Field Operations groups and the Buyer group in the creation and management of Purchase Requisitions in the SAP system and procurement.
* In order to ensure Operations staff is appropriately supported, Requisition Technicians will assist in the creation of both planned requisitions requested by Field Operations and also critical and emergency requisition requests
* Requisition Technicians will support the management of multiple activities across the lifecycle of the Purchase Order. This potentially includes raising requisitions, amending requisitions and Purchase Orders, reporting, receiving, issue resolution and close out.
* Requisition Technicians will also serve as SAP ‘Super Users’ within their respective work groups. In this capacity, the Requisition Technicians will serve as front-line support for SAP users, fielding and responding to questions around SAP-related processes and system transactions.
* Candidates should have SAP procure to pay implementation experience and need to have knowledge of the procure to pay process including Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Master Data & Conversion, Roles, and Invoice Workflow.
* Any other duties as required.
